The 1460 boot. The Original. Born 1st April 1960, and named after the date. Dr Martens unmistakable 8-eye boot started life at workers’ feet — and soon became a cultural icon.
It’s instantly recognisable by its yellow welt stitching, scripted heel loop, unique sole tread, and other distinctly DM’s features.
The wide, rounded toe shape and grooved, air-cushioned sole keep you bouncing even on your longest days.
This reworked version of the boot is made using Genix Nappa, a re-engineered material made from reclaimed leather offcuts.
The side of the boot is embroidered with an updated version of Dr Martens Vonda floral pattern, with purple flowers instead of the classic red or black.
